Premier Applications

We include the following premier applications in each application package that you download and install. Please note that in the current release of bizWizards these applications are available in English and Japanese only and by default connect to the database system that you defined when building your application. Additionally, they will not be displayed in portal mode when you are using them.

Management Dashboard and your Return On Investment

You might have experienced making an investment and not understanding how much you received back in return for that investment - believe it or not, you are not alone. In many cases IT teams or the business spend a significant part of their budgets on new system development only to find out that no one is using the system after it is implemented. We do not think that this is a sound way make IT investment decisions and track your ROI so have included the Management Dashboard in our premier applications for enterprise customers.

This application will present transaction, cost, and return data for every bizWizard web application running in your organization to make sure that you are getting the most out of the money you are paying for subscription fees. If you find that one of your applications is not being used as frequently as originally envisioned, you can target in on issues quickly. Alternatively, you might choose to build an entirely new application, replacing an application that is not being used with the same credit you already paid for.

Application Security

Basic application security is implemented based on built-in Windows user accounts and permissions, Database grants, and bizWizards user accounts. When you build an application you must select if you want the application to be built as a public or secure application. Public application meaning that any user will be able to access any application URL.

With secure applications, we offer both Windows Forms and NT/Windows Authentication so you can make right choice depending on the business logic and IT policies. If you decide to use Forms Authentication users will need to login to the application from the bizWizards login page that will confirm that there is a corresponding bizWizards account in the user and roles master database table. Alternatively, if you choose to implement NT/Windows Authentication users will be presented with a Windows dialog that will verify the Windows account exists and that the account has authorization to the application folder resources the user is trying to access. An audit trail of all successful or unsuccessful login attempts can be found in the bizWizards Access Logs or Windows event log.

In addition, bizWizards has implemented application level trace, validation rules to keep the application secure and field level validation settings if you choose to use them.

Data Dictionary and System Documentation

Data dictionary and system documentation are 2 applications that are included in the premier applications for enterprise customers. These applications will help you realize the following benefits:

Application Personalization

Using the Personalization Manager you will be able to change the appearance of your application(s) in the wink of an eye. Personalization allows you to change the application body background, font, line, header font, header logo, and header background colors. Personalization is very useful if you want to change the colors of your VID across all applications in your environment simultaneously. If you have ever experienced changing a VID on tens or hundreds of applications you probably understand how this feature will save you time and money.

bizGraphs

We have included a graph feature for enterprise customers that allow you to display detail or summary pie, bar, and line graphs from your bizWizards database tables. The graph settings allow you to specify simple query conditions while selecting data to be included in the graph.
